“Olive” what I do…

And I want you to love it, too! Learning occurs when you stop memorizing facts and start building confidence through curiosity, observation, and lived experience.

Want to go beyond the YouTube channel? I design learning experiences that help people build confidence, curiosity, and independence. My approach is rooted in storytelling, place-based learning, and Montessori-inspired principles, making learning feel meaningful, self-directed, and human.

Below are the different ways we can learn together.

Children & Teens

I write and create didactic material for children and teens who learn through curiosity, story, and experience—and for the adults who want to protect that way of learning.

My work is rooted in the belief that children don’t need to be filled with information; they need space to wonder, experiment, and arrive at their own understanding. Whether through children’s and teen literature, language lessons, or materials for tiny or teen tourists, storytelling is at the center of it all. Stories are one of the safest and most powerful ways to guide learning. Through narrative, children can explore big feelings, uncertainty, mistakes, courage, and resilience without fear of getting it wrong.

Adults & Professionals

I work with adults who are ready to unlearn shame and instead want to learn with depth, confidence, and curiosity - especially in language and culture.

My work with adults focuses on language learning (English and Italian), cultural understanding and authentic tourism, confidence-building, and heritage discovery. I use real-life experiences, storytelling, and guided reflection, rather than memorization, which allows my adult learners to make their own connections and learn confidently at their own pace.

Many adults believe they’re “bad at languages,” but in my experience, most were simply never taught in a way that felt safe, engaging, or free from embarrassment. My approach focuses on rebuilding trust in your ability to learn and recover from mistakes.

Instead of memorization and drills, we work with real language, real situations, and real curiosity. I integrate conversation, cultural context, storytelling, and reflection so that you learn not just what to say, but why people say it. The goal is not speed—it’s confidence. I want you to feel comfortable thinking, speaking, and experimenting in Italian without fear of being wrong.

In addition to private lessons, I create free and low-cost digital learning tools for independent learners who want to explore Italian language and culture more deeply. These resources are designed to help you learn through curiosity and context, rather than rules alone.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, calm, and personalized way to learn Italian—and to understand the culture that shapes the language—I’d love to work with you.

“Sarah is absolutely lovely - informative, fun, happy, generous with her time and yet also interested in her clients and not just the sound of her own voice. It’s clear that the locals we met along the way really like Sarah, too.”
