Ciao! I’m Sarah Bolen. Storyteller and educator.

The fact is, good teachers don’t preach their lessons, they invite their students into learning.

I’m a storyteller and educator who uses environment, curiosity, and narrative to turn everyday life into a living classroom. Much of my work unfolds in my home in Italy, where daily rhythms offer an endless curriculum in curiosity, patience, and human connection. I work with children and adults who want to learn without fear, without shame, and without the pressure to be perfect. Is that you?

After several years in the public school classroom in the United States, I noticed that my students (and their parents!) had fallen out of love with learning. Most hoped for a confirmation of what they thought they already knew or searched for the answer they thought I’d most like to hear. Luckily, there’s good news. It is never too late to build a relationship with learning.

Through educational videos and writing, I bring the learning environment to you. Instead of lectures, I offer considerations and space for observation. Before you know it, you’ll be noticing, wondering, and participating in discussion.

My work is deeply inspired by Montessori philosophy: the idea that learning happens best when people are trusted to recover from making mistakes, to accept feedback, and to lean into their own curiosity. Only then can learning emerge.

Whether I’m working with a child learning to trust their voice, an adult navigating a new language, or a traveler trying to understand a culture beyond clichés, my goal is always the same: To help people build confidence through discovery, not performance.

You don’t have to get it right the first time here. Heck, you take as long as you need.

If you’re someone who learns by wandering, by asking, by noticing, by making connections…

WELCOME
